CBR Youth Connect is delighted to celebrate our ongoing partnership with Crazy Hair Alpacas, an organization that brings joy, comfort, and unforgettable experiences with some of the most expressive, quirky, and gentle creatures.
On July 26th, during the Two Creeks Neighborhood Summer Party at Mountair Park in Lakewood, children and families gathered for a day of laughter, learning, and hands-on alpaca interactions that left everyone with a smile. Andrea Blocher’s sweet alpacas inspired powerful social emotional learning and human-animal connection experiences through fun facts and fluffy fleece.
CBR YouthConnect and Crazy Hair Alpacas are planning more upcoming alpaca experiences with local schools and organizations with the goal of spreading enriching educational alpaca interactions to as many children as we can reach.
As Andrea, owner of Crazy Hair Alpacas shared:
“Alpacas have the ability to adapt to things that threaten their physical safety, happiness, emotions, or anything that does not make them feel comfortable. We would love to meet you and help you with your challenges.”
Andrea’s words about alpacas’ social intelligence remind us that even brief moments with animals can nurture mindfulness, compassion, and resilience through challenge. We extend our most sincere thank you to Crazy Hair Alpacas for this incredibly heartwarming partnership, and we can’t wait to continue sharing these uplifting experiences with more of our community in the months ahead!
