CBR YouthConnect was excited to partner once again with Crazy Hair Alpacas for a special Halloween visit on October 31st to Options Secondary Program. Approximately 150 students and staff from both the middle school and high school, many dressed in fun costumes, enjoyed spending time with Andrea Blocher’s incredible alpacas and exploring how connecting with animals can inspire compassionate relationships and spread joy and laughter.
In addition to meeting the alpacas, students took part in a creative sensory craft, wrapping soft alpaca fleece around pinecones to hang in trees for birds to use for nesting and warmth! They also had a chance to grab some alpaca-themed coloring sheets and activities, along with alpaca keychains to remember the experience.
As one staff member shared,
“What a great addition the alpacas were to our festivities! Hearing them hummmmmmmm was thrilling! Thank you for sharing this joy with us!”
