CBR Youth Connect partnered with an incredible group of local animal organizations to host a unique Human-Animal Connection career fair at DSST Elevate Northeast High School on March 13th. The career fair gave students the opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations with local professionals to learn about their personal journeys, gain insight into navigating animal-related career paths, and discuss opportunities to get involved in fields related to animal behavior and training, conservation, and advocacy.
A huge highlight of the day was our animal partners – the alpacas enjoying the beautiful weather outside and the dogs greeting everyone inside – giving students a chance to connect directly with animals and observe their unique personalities.
This event created an inspiring space for students to imagine their futures, for professionals to reflect on their journeys, and for animals to experience enriching and compassionate interactions.
