CBR YouthConnect ensures appropriate medical and dental care for youth throughout their stay. This health care is provided through either referral or direct, on-campus services. CBRYC also provides 24-hour nursing services through on-campus registered nurses. A contracted family physician and adolescent psychiatrist visit CBRYC once a week and are available on an on-call basis at all other times.
Initial nursing assessments, physical exams, hearing and vision tests are performed by the on-campus nurses and contracted doctors. Emergency medical treatment, dental and laboratory services are contractually available with local hospitals, dentists and health care specialists.
Mental health treatment, including the prescribing and administration of medication, is provided daily as needed.
