Performance Report

CBR YouthConnect has a 45-year history of achievement, innovation and resilience. We also have nearly a decades worth of outcomes studies that indicate that our treatment model does, indeed, provide troubled youth with the means to become hopeful, productive citizens.

Youth Performance

With a database containing the names of more than 550 youth that have attended the ranch over the past nine years, CBR YouthConnect continues to measure all aspects of program effectiveness, value and progress. Regular and on-going performance measurement occurs. Data pertaining to goal attainment and behavioral progress is collected and analyzed daily. This data is included in multi-disciplinary reports that are provided regularly.

In addition, each youth is encouraged and provided with the support to develop his own portfolio of documents and other items he deems significant to tell his own story of achievement and accomplishment. The portfolio is his property and often is shared with parents, referral sources and others.

Organizational Performance

CBR YouthConnect also conducts a regular and on-going review of organizational performance. Continuing improvement is assured through a refined quality assurance process. Annual reviews from licensing and accrediting entities are augmented with many and varied on-site reviews and visits from referral sources and parents. In addition, CBRYC annually conducts client satisfaction surveys.

  • Compliments from over 100 reviews during 2004, found that CBRYC rated high on warmth, cleanliness and creativity of campus and living units; a caring and friendly atmosphere; interactions between staff and youth, staffs interactions with each other, and innovation and thoroughness of programs and documentation.
  • In 2005, North Central Accreditation Association found that CBRYC was the most innovative we've seen.
  • In 2004, JCAHO found that CBRYC had one of the largest and most comprehensive data bases in the nation.

Every four or five years, we publish a Performance Report with findings based on follow-up studies of youth discharged from CBR YouthConnect. The next Performance Report is due out in 2011.
